Different kinds of recycling materials

Polyethylene (PE)

Recycling material properties: After the regeneration of polyethylene, the properties have been reduced, and the color has turned yellow, among which the anti-aging properties have decreased the most. After multiple extrusions, the viscosity of the high density polyethylene decreased, and the viscosity of the low density polyethylene rose.

Treatment method: The amount of blending that can be added during recycling is generally 8% or less.

Polypropylene (PP)

Recycling Material Performance: When regenerated, the color is almost constant and the melt index rises. More than two times the color increase, the melt index is still rising. After the regeneration, the impact resistance and the aging resistance decreased the most, and the breaking strength and elongation decreased.

Treatment method: The amount of blending that can be added during recycling is generally less than 20%.

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

Recycling material properties: After regenerating, the discoloration is obvious. After one-time regeneration and extrusion, it will have a light brown color, and three times it will almost become an opaque brown color. The specific viscosity does not change at the second time, and tends to decrease at more than two times.

Treatment method: Stabilizer should be added during regeneration regardless of whether it is hard or soft polyvinyl chloride. In order to make the regenerated products glossy, the amount of blending that can be added during recycling is generally 1% to 3%.

Nylon (PA)

Recycling material properties: After the regeneration, the elongation decreases and the elasticity increases.

Treatment method: Regeneration also has problems of discoloration and performance degradation, and the amount of blending is preferably 20% or less.

Polystyrene (PS)

Recycled material properties: After regeneration, the color turns yellow, so the recycled polystyrene is generally used after coloring.

Treatment method: The degree of decline in the performance of the reclaimed material is proportional to the number of regenerations, and the fracture strength does not change significantly when the amount of incorporation is less than 60%, and the intrinsic viscosity does not change significantly when the incorporation amount is 40% or less.

Other plastics

Recycled material performance: ABS regenerated more obvious after the color change.

Treatment method: However, when the blending amount is not more than 20% to 30%, the performance does not change significantly.
